About Video DVD Pricing

We charge 42¢ per dog entry for custom edited video, and that's it!  A single video DVD disc holds ~ 100 entries and lists for $42.00.  We do offer PRE-Order and Show Discounts, multi-disc Discounts and FREE shipping (US Destinations).  Compare that to other Specialty Show items:

It's also true that a Rolls Royce costs more than a VW.  Just like the Rolls, our video DVDs are highly specialized, custom edited and titled, simply GORGEOUS productions, serving YOU - a very small but ELITE Breed-specific clientele.

How does this pricing scheme compare to others?

Very favorably!  The other companies doing this work generally charge by the disc, and generally at a rate of $30 - $40 per disc.  We used to do that, but found that a number of discs were not "full" in content, yet our customers paid for a full 2-hr DVD disc rate.  We didn't think that was fair, so that is why we went to a "per entry" scheme.

And, it makes sense.  If you go to McDonald's and order a hamburger you will pay a buck.  If you order 6 hamburgers, you will pay 6 bucks.  Same for our video pricing.  Small show, low entries, you pay a low price.  Big show, big entries, you pay more (for the whole show).

Caution:  Be wary of companies offering Dog Show video for $5.00 per disc.  No one can produce custom edited and titled video on DVD for that price.  Typically discs priced at that rate are being wholesaled to the parent club and require a minimum purchase number. Such discs typically contain hours and hours of unedited, unnecessary content (more discs sold = higher revenue).  And, on careful inquiry, there are significant hidden fees to the club, e.g. travel expenses, comp'ed hotel room nights, professional videography fees, etc.  Add up those expenses (~$2500 - $5000) and divide by the number of discs.  Add on the base price of $5 and you get right back to $30 - $40 per disc!  The bottom line is that you just never get "something for nothing" in life. 

How does this work? 

Example 1:  Let's say you have a small National with 150 entries (add up the regular conformation entry PLUS the Sweeps or other event entries to get the total).  At 42¢ per dog entry x 150 entries, the total DVD disc package for this show will list at $63.00.  For PRE-Order and Show Discounts at 15% off, we would offer this show at $53.55 and ship it for FREE in the US.  The package would contain 2 DVD discs.

Example 2:  Let's say you have a big National with 900 entries (again, add up the regular conformation entry PLUS Sweeps or other event entries to get the total).  At 42¢ per dog entry x 900 entries, the total DVD disc package for this show will list at $378.00.  For PRE-Order and Show Discounts at 25% off, we would offer this show at $283.50 and ship it for FREE in the US.  The "whole show package" would contain 9 - 10 DVD discs.

How do we 'package' our DVD offerings?

For small shows consisting of three or less DVD discs, we offer them as a set for PRE-Orders and Show Discounts.

For large shows with 4 - 10 discs (or more), we offer various DVD Video packages tailored to your Breed and needs.  Some National Specialties are actually three shows (Regional, Divisional, National) in one week.  We package the individual shows separately, and then together as a whole.

Some shows have multiple varieties, so we package the Variety judging separately, the Inter-variety, and then the show all together as a whole.

And some shows are just so large that we break out individual judging groups, like Dogs, Bitches, Breed, Sweeps, Futurity, Top 20, etc.

And, our videos will last forever!
