Technical Specifications

We use nothing but the highest quality state-of-the-art digital video recording and editing equipment to ensure the best possible results. Our videos are recorded in High Resolution video using the Panasonic HVX200 High Definition Video camera, which revolutionized the prosumer digital video arena with cutting edge direct-to-disk hi-def recording capability. We make LIVE DVDs and backup to tape in real time as the show progresses. Our videographers use the Firestore FS-100 for live recordings that typically generate about 1 gigabyte of video per minute. All video is then redundantly backed up to hard drives each night on-site so that no video streams are lost prior to editing.

On return to our editing studio, all data are immediately backed up to an Apple XSAN 15 terabyte Storage Area Network configured as RAID 5 RAID 0 to insure maximum redundancy and data security.

Our preferred non-linear editing platform is Final Cut Pro, which within Final Cut Studio allows for maximum flexibility for both video and audio production. DVDs are created using DVD Studio Pro, and .img files are used in our DVD duplicator.

We've gone "Intel Mac" and use Mac Pros configured with both internal RAID arrays, and external fibre channel connections to the XSAN for exquisitely fast editing capability.

For website creation we prefer the Adobe Suite products including Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash, Photoshop and Acrobat. For flash video we use the On2Flix Pro product.
